Project Woodworks dedicates part of our revenue to support various ‘Projects’ that help to tackle environmental or social issues such as reforestation, preservation of rain-forest, and creation of life-improving opportunities for the needy communities. We support environmental initiative through collaboration with NGO / Not-for-Profit Organization (NPO) / Social Enterprises (SE) that are transparent, have measurable impacts & long-term oriented.
STYLE FOR A CAUSE
Project Woodworks’ First Impact Project is 'Style for a Cause'. For every watch you buy, we will preserve, nurture and plant one endangered tree species on behalf of you through our partnership with Tropical Rainforest Conservation and Research Center (TRCRC).
TRCRC’s main objective is to conserve and preserve our tropical rainforest plant species, and to support other organizations to cultivate and maintain stable forest ecosystems. Our partnership with TRCRC means that the fund will be channeled to their Tropical Rainforest Living Collection (TRLC) projects and the trees will be planted at their Living Collection sites.
TRCRC Living Collection sites are located at:
- Tropical Rainforest Living Collection Merisuli, Lahad Datu, Sabah: Conservation of Rare, Endemic & Endangered Tree Species
- Tropical Rainforest Living Collection Banun, Amanjaya Forest Reserve, Perak: Connecting the Fragmented Forest and Enhance Animal Food Chain
- The Tropical Rainforest Living Collection & Rafflesia Conservation, Lojing Forest Reserve, Kelantan: Conservation of the Highland Species
“A nation that destroys its soils destroys itself. Forests are the lungs of our land, purifying the air and giving fresh strength to our people.” -Franklin D. Roosevelt, 32nd President of United States
